Electric Circuits
Did you know that the reason your phone doesn't work when the battery dies isn't that the electricity vanishes—it's that the path breaks?

How it looks
A real board, not a video.
This board is from a different Science lesson — yours will look like this. She writes and draws while she explains, and stops to check you followed.
Doubts this lesson clears up
- Electricity flows through the circuit like water through a pipe—it needs a complete path to keep moving.
- The battery doesn't really run out. Inside it, the chemicals get used up and can't push the electricity anymore.
- The electricity heats up the filament (a thin wire) so much that it glows. That's why old bulbs get hot.
- A short circuit is when electricity finds a shortcut without going through the device first. It wastes energy fast and can get hot.
- A switch opens or closes the circuit. When it's off, it breaks the loop so electricity can't flow.
- Household electricity can hurt you. Never touch bare wires or the inside of plugs. A small battery is safe, but bigger sources are not.
